About Bank statement to Excel
Bank statements come as PDFs that cannot be sorted or added up. This converter finds the statement’s transaction table on every page, keeps one row per transaction with its date, description, debit, credit and balance, joins descriptions that wrap, drops page headers and footers, and checks the running balance so you can trust the result before you import it into Excel, Google Sheets or your accounting software.

Frequently asked questions
Which banks and statements work?+
Statements downloaded from online banking as PDF, from any bank, in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Japanese or Arabic. The column headers of the statement (Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Withdrawals, Deposits, Amount, Balance…) are found on every page.
Are dates and amounts real numbers in Excel?+
Yes. Dates become Excel dates and amounts become numbers, whatever the statement uses: 1,234.56, 1 234,56 or 1.234,56, negative amounts in brackets, or CR and DR after the amount. A total row adds up the debits and credits.
How do I know nothing was missed?+
When the statement has a balance column, each balance is checked against the previous balance and the transaction. If they all add up, every transaction was read correctly.
What about descriptions on two lines and many pages?+
Descriptions that wrap onto a second line are joined, and the transactions of every page go into one sheet, without the page headers and footers.
Does it work with scanned statements?+
A scan has no text to read. Run OCR PDF on it first, then convert it here.
Are my bank statements uploaded?+
No. The statement is read in your browser and never leaves your device, which matters for financial documents.
