About Image to Text
An image to text converter (OCR) that runs in your browser: the same engine as OCR PDF finds every line in the picture and reads it, then rebuilds the text in reading order, with paragraphs, two-column layouts and table gaps kept, so you can paste it into a document or a spreadsheet. Small screenshots are enlarged before reading, long screenshots are read in parts, and sideways or upside-down photos are turned automatically. Works with JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and pasted screenshots, one image or many.

Frequently asked questions
How do I copy text from an image?+
Add the image (or press Ctrl+V to paste a screenshot), pick the language and click Extract text. The text appears below, ready to copy, edit, or download as a .txt or Word file.
Which languages can it read?+
English, French, Arabic, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and Turkish, up to three at once for mixed documents such as Arabic with French. Handwriting and Asian scripts are not supported yet.
How accurate is it?+
Printed text in a clear photo or screenshot is usually read almost perfectly, including small print. Blurry, dark or very angled photos lose accuracy; lines the engine is unsure about are left out rather than guessed.
Can it turn an image into a Word document?+
Yes. Download Word (.docx) gives an editable document with the recognized lines and paragraphs, right to left for Arabic.
Are my images uploaded?+
No. Recognition runs in your browser. The models download once (about 20 MB) and your images never leave your device.
