About PDF to Markdown
A PDF to Markdown converter that reads the document’s structure: headings from type size and bookmarks, lists from bullets and numbers, tables from ruled grids, and inline formatting from the fonts. Running headers, footers and page numbers are left out, and paragraphs split across pages and columns are joined.

Frequently asked questions
What is kept?+
Headings (# to ####), paragraphs, bold, italic and strikethrough, bulleted and numbered lists, tables in GitHub format, links and footnote numbers.
How are pictures handled?+
They are saved in an images folder and linked from the Markdown, both zipped together. Untick the option to get the Markdown file alone.
Will it work in Obsidian, Notion or GitHub?+
Yes. It is standard GitHub-flavoured Markdown with a short front matter block for the title, author and language.
Are my files uploaded?+
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your documents stay on your device.
