About Print PDF as a poster
A large print shop is not always needed for a poster, a classroom chart, a plan or a banner: any home or office printer can print it in pieces. This tool enlarges a PDF page to A3, A2, A1, A0 or a custom width, splits it into a grid of A4, Letter, A3 or Legal sheets with the fewest sheets possible, adds an overlap and cut marks for clean assembly, and labels each sheet so the poster goes back together in the right order.

Frequently asked questions
How many sheets will my poster need?+
It depends on the poster size and the paper: the grid on the preview shows every sheet and the count is shown above it. An A2 poster takes about 8 or 9 A4 sheets, an A1 about 15, an A0 about 30.
Will it be blurry when enlarged?+
Text, lines and shapes stay perfectly sharp at any size because the page is enlarged as a vector. Photos inside the PDF are enlarged as they are, so a small photo can look soft on a large poster.
How do I put the sheets together?+
Print at actual size. Trim the border on the right and bottom of each sheet along the cut marks, then lay it over the next sheet so the overlap lines up, and glue or tape it. The labels (A1, A2, B1…) give the row and the column.
Why is there a white border on each sheet?+
Most printers cannot print to the edge of the paper. The picture stays inside a 10 mm border, and the overlap makes up for it when you assemble the sheets.
Can I print several pages as posters?+
Yes. Tick "Make a poster of every page" and each page becomes its own set of sheets, labelled with its page number.
Are my files uploaded?+
No. The poster is made in your browser and the PDF never leaves your device.
