About PDF to EPUB
A PDF to EPUB converter that rebuilds the document instead of photographing its pages. It reads every run of text with its size and style, removes running headers, footers and page numbers, joins paragraphs split across pages and columns, and turns larger type into headings, bullets and numbers into lists and ruled tables into tables. Chapters follow the bookmarks or the main headings, with a table of contents for EPUB 3 and older readers. The first page can become the cover, and the title, author and language are filled in, with right-to-left books for Arabic and Hebrew.

Frequently asked questions
Will the text reflow on my e-reader?+
Yes. The EPUB is made of real text, not pictures of the pages, so it adapts to the screen and to the font size you choose, like any e-book.
Are chapters and a table of contents created?+
Yes. Chapters follow the PDF’s bookmarks when it has them; otherwise they start at its main headings. The table of contents links to every chapter and section.
What happens to headers, footers and page numbers?+
They are left out, so they do not appear in the middle of the text. Paragraphs cut by a page break are joined back, hyphenated words included, and two-column pages are read column by column.
Are pictures, tables and links kept?+
Yes. Pictures stay where they were in the text, ruled tables become tables, and web links still work. Bold, italic, lists and footnote numbers are kept too; a logo repeated on every page is left out.
Does it work with Kindle?+
Yes. Send the EPUB to your Kindle with Amazon’s Send to Kindle. It also opens in Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo and Calibre.
Can I convert a scanned PDF?+
Scanned pages are kept as pictures. To get their text into the e-book, run the PDF through OCR PDF first, then convert it.
Are my files uploaded?+
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your book or document never leaves your device.
