About Pages to PDF

Frequently asked questions
How do I open a .pages file on Windows?+
Convert it here: the PDF opens in any browser or PDF reader. Nothing to install and no Apple account needed.
Which Pages versions work?+
Documents from current Pages on Mac, iPhone, iPad and iCloud, and older Pages ’09 files. Pages ’09 files keep their exact layout, because they contain Apple’s own copy of the pages.
Is the layout kept?+
The text, its paragraphs and the page size are kept, with tables, text boxes, pictures and charts after the text. For a perfect copy of a complex layout, export the PDF from Pages itself (File > Export To > PDF).
My file is a folder, not a single file+
Some Pages documents are saved as a package. In Pages choose File > Advanced > Change File Type > Single File, save, then convert it, or compress the folder to a .zip first.
Are my files uploaded?+
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your document never leaves your device.
