Privacy policy

PDFkind is a free tool made by an independent team. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the site. For any privacy question, contact us at contact@pdfkind.com. The short version: your files stay on your device, and we collect as little as possible.

Your files

Every tool on PDFkind runs inside your web browser. The PDFs and images you open are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's. We cannot see, store or recover them. Passwords you enter in Protect PDF or Unlock PDF also stay on your device.

To protect you from losing work, the editor autosaves the PDF you are editing and your changes in your browser's storage on this device. This copy is never sent anywhere; it is deleted after 7 days, when you open another PDF, or when you click Discard. On a shared computer, discard your work when you are done.

What we collect

• Your cookie choice, stored in your browser so we don't ask again.
• Usage statistics, only if you allow them: which pages and tools are used, browser type and approximate country. They are not linked to your identity.
• Advertising data: Google AdSense shows ads on this site and may use cookies and device identifiers. See the next section.
• Emails you send us, used only to answer you.

Advertising

Ads keep PDFkind free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. If you refuse personalized ads in our cookie settings, Google shows non-personalized ads instead. You can also opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR or Moroccan Law 09-08 on personal data protection), you can ask to access, correct or delete data about you, and you can withdraw consent at any time from Cookie settings in the footer. Because we don't keep accounts or files, there is usually nothing to delete on our side. Contact us at contact@pdfkind.com for any request.

Children

PDFkind is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change. See also our cookie policy and terms of use.
