Frequently asked questions

How is the JSON shown?+

Indented two spaces per level and coloured like a code editor: keys, strings, numbers and true/false/null each have their own colour. Long lines wrap so nothing is cut off.

Can a list of records become a table?+

Yes. When the JSON is a list of objects with the same fields, each field becomes a column and each record a row. Untick the option to print it as code instead.

What if my JSON is invalid?+

It is still printed, exactly as written, so you can review it on paper. JSON Lines files (one record per line) are read as a list.

Is my data uploaded?+

No. The conversion runs in your browser, so API responses, configs and exports stay on your device.
