About ODT to PDF

An ODT to PDF converter that reads the OpenDocument format directly: the document text and its paragraph, character, list and table styles (with what they inherit), page layout, embedded pictures and notes. The browser lays the pages out, so the text in the PDF is real and selectable.

Frequently asked questions

What is an ODT file?+

ODT (OpenDocument Text) is the document format of LibreOffice Writer and OpenOffice, also offered by Google Docs and Word. It is an open standard, like DOCX.

Is the formatting kept?+

Yes: the page size and margins, fonts and sizes, colours, alignment and spacing, headings, numbered and bulleted lists, tables with merged cells and colours, pictures, links and footnotes. Headers and footers are left out.

Which files work?+

ODT documents, ODT templates (.ott) and flat OpenDocument files (.fodt). Password-protected files must be opened and saved without a password first.

Do I need LibreOffice?+

No. The file is read and converted in your browser, on any computer or phone.

Are my files uploaded?+

No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your document never leaves your device.
