About Replace text in PDF

Change a name, a date, a price or a misspelled word everywhere in a PDF without retyping the document. Find and replace works on the PDF’s own text and keeps its font, size and color, and you can step through the matches or replace them all at once.

Frequently asked questions

Does it replace on every page?+

Yes. Replace all changes every match in the document at once, and the counter shows how many there are. Use Replace to go through them one by one.

Will the new text use the same font?+

Yes, when the PDF’s font has the letters you type. Otherwise a close match is used, with the same size, color and weight.

Can I match the exact case or whole words only?+

Yes. Tick Match case to tell "Paris" from "paris", and Whole words to replace "art" without touching "party".

What if the new text is longer?+

The line grows to fit it. For a longer change inside a paragraph, click Edit paragraph in the bar above the page and edit it there: the lines reflow like in a word processor.

Are my files uploaded to a server?+

No. Everything is processed locally in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
