Developer docs: Embed a tool
Full tools
Embed a tool
Put a PDF merger, compressor, editor or any of 128 tools on your own page. It sizes itself to fit and shows no ads.
Add an element with data-pdfkind-tool where the tool should appear. The script turns it into the tool, in a frame that grows and shrinks with its content.
HTML
<div data-pdfkind-tool="compress-pdf"></div>
<script src="https://pdfkind.com/embed.js" defer></script>
<p><a href="https://pdfkind.com/compress-pdf">Compress PDF</a> by PDFkind</p>Options
| Attribute | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
data-pdfkind-tool | a tool ID | Required. See All tools. |
data-lang | a language code | Optional. Defaults to your page’s language, then English. See Languages. |
data-height | pixels | Optional starting height (640 by default). Most tools then fit their content; editor tools keep this height, so give them about 820. |
What visitors get
The tool works exactly as on pdfkind.com: files stay on their device, and they download the result with a Download button. There are no ads and no PDFkind menus, only a small “Powered by PDFkind” line.
Without the script: a plain iframe
Where scripts aren’t allowed, use an iframe. Its height won’t adjust by itself.
HTML
<iframe src="https://pdfkind.com/embed/merge-pdf" width="100%" height="700"
style="border:0" title="Merge PDF"></iframe>For another language, add its code before /embed: https://pdfkind.com/fr/embed/merge-pdf.
Tip. Building a site with Wix, Squarespace or Webflow? See website builders for where to paste the code.
