Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no API key, no usage limit. We only ask you to keep a small visible link to PDFkind next to the field or tool.
Are there ads?
No. Embedded tools and the upload helper never show ads.
Do files go to PDFkind’s servers?
No. Everything runs in the visitor’s browser. Files reach your server only when your own form sends them.
Does it slow my page down?
The script is under 10 KB and loads after your page (defer). The PDFkind window and tools load only when needed.
Which file types can it reduce?
PDF, JPG, PNG and WebP. iPhone HEIC photos are converted to JPG. Other files pass through unchanged.
Can I change how the tools look?
Not yet. Tools use PDFkind’s design and adapt to the width you give them. Tell us what you need.
Can I use it on a commercial or government site?
Yes, on any site.
What if PDFkind goes down?
Your forms keep working. Without the script nothing changes, and if the window doesn’t answer within 8 seconds the original file goes through.
