Upload helper

WordPress and form builders

Make every file field on your WordPress site accept oversized PDFs and photos by reducing them first, with one line in your site’s footer.

Form plugins rarely let you add attributes to their file fields. Put the limit on the script instead: every file field on the page then gets it.

  1. Install a header and footer plugin

For example WPCode (“Insert Headers and Footers”). Any plugin or theme setting that adds code to the footer works.

  2. Add this line to the site footer

Use your plugin’s upload limit. Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Formidable and Ninja Forms all work.

    Footer code
    <script src="https://pdfkind.com/embed.js" data-max="5MB" defer></script>
  3. Credit PDFkind under your form

Add a short line in the form’s description or an HTML field.

    HTML
Large files are reduced in your browser by <a href="https://pdfkind.com/compress-pdf">PDFkind</a>.
Tip. Keep your plugin’s own size check: the helper lowers files to the limit, and the plugin still rejects anything that couldn’t be reduced.

Adding a full tool to a page

In the block editor, add a “Custom HTML” block:

Custom HTML block
<div data-pdfkind-tool="compress-pdf"></div>
<script src="https://pdfkind.com/embed.js" defer></script>

Other form builders

The same data-max line works anywhere you can add a script: Webflow forms, Typeform-style builders hosted on your domain, Shopify contact pages, and custom forms. For builders that don’t allow scripts, see Wix, Squarespace, Webflow.
